The Super Eagles star joined Les Dogues this summer from Belgian side Sporting Charleroi and immediately hit the ground running at his new club.

Osimhen, 20, has scored nine goals and two assists in all competitions so far this campaign but has been suspended for what looks like the biggest game of his career so far this season.

The club confirmed the news on their official Twitter and it is sure that they will miss the prolific striker in the game.

The forward scored his side’s only goal in their 4-1 defeat in one of the Champions League games this midweek – taking his goal tally in Europe to two.

Osimhen attracted interests from the French club after scoring 12 goals and three assists in 25 appearances last season.

He also made his debut for the country’s senior national team earlier this year after featuring in his first Africa Cup of Nations championship in Egypt.

Though, he did not have enough playing time at the summer football event, Osimhen scored his first goal for the Super Eagles in a friendly game against Ukraine.

The forward broke into the football world after scoring record ten goals at the FIFA U17 World Cup in 2015.
