The Argentine hitman’s ingenuity was a subject of discussion on Sunday, January 12, after Man City thrashed their Premier League rivals to keep hope alive on the league log.

The massive 6-1 victory saw Aguero move his EPL tally to 175 and grab his 12th treble as he also moved one ahead of the league’s all-time goalscorer Alan Shearer.

The fabulous show of class and sportsmanship has now gotten the Man City forward compared with his countryman Lionel Messi, but his manager Guardiola was fast to draw line of difference between the two stars.

Guardiola managed the Argentine star at Barcelona and won handful of trophies with him in what beckoned the arguably most daring dominance across Europe.

Reacting to Messi-Aguero comparison, the Spaniard manager praised Aguero but noticed he is not on the same level with the sixth-time Ballon d’Or winner and Barcelona talisman.

“The best is Messi. Messi is No 9, No 10, No 11, No 7, No 6, No 5, No 4,” Guardiola said.

“But Sergio of the rest, is absolutely one of them. All the players in the locker room congratulated him.

“To break this record of an incredible legend like Thierry Henry it means it’s not just for a short period, it’s many years.

“It’s an honour to be here the day he achieved that, hopefully, he can score more,” the Spaniard further hailed.
