The Spaniard’s current deal with the Premier League champions expires in the summer of 2021 having joined them in 2016.

He has led the Citizens to back to back EPL triumphs, while winning other domestic titles for the club. Although, his quest to win the Champions League after leaving Barcelona in 2012 has proven highly difficult, he is willing to try again this term.

Meanwhile, Guardiola’s men were held to a 1-1 draw by Atalanta in one of the UCL matches earlier this week.

Raheem Sterling scored the opening goal for the visitors but Mario Pasalic’s equalizer ensured both sides ended the game in a draw.

When asked if he would manage a Serie A team, Guardiola answered saying: “Training in Italy? Why not?

“It was a pleasure [to be there] as a player, with the great [Carlo] Mazzone [former Brescia manager].

“I had a great time and I love the country but now I feel good in England, it’s a great championship. “But maybe yes, I’m not that old.”

Guardiola was also asked about his link with Juventus top job, but denied the claims, smiling as he replied: “You had false information, you have to do your job better.”

The Spaniard will now shift focus to his side’s Premier League crunch clash against table toppers Liverpool at Anfield on Sunday, November 10.

But they will be without Brazilian goalkeeper Ederson who suffered injury in midweek’s Champions League clash.
