Ander Herrera blast Man United for not giving him time to play

Paris Saint Germain midfielder Ander Herrera has aimed a dig at Manchester United after accusing them of not prioritising football at Old Trafford.

The 30-year-old ended his five year reign with the Red Devils this summer after his contract at the Premier League side expired.

He however joined the Parisians as a free agent and has registered just one assist in nine appearances for the club so far this campaign.

While speaking with French magazine So Foot, Herrera revealed the emphasis PSG put on football showed something of a culture shock from his time at United.

“I cannot talk about what was happening in previous seasons because I was not there, but since I’m here, what I see is that I’m in a club that think only and exclusively about football,’ Herrera said.

“And I say it sincerely because sometimes, seen from the outside, PSG can have a glamorous side that can irritate some. But here we sweat, we train, we work!

“When I arrive at the training centre, the physios, podiatrist and physical trainer are already at work… Football, football, football.’

Asked if that was not the case with United, the midfielder added: “I was happy at that incredible club. I am very grateful to the supporters.

“Frankly, I was immensely happy in Manchester, but at the club, there were times when I felt that football was not considered the most important thing.”

When asked whether money was the top priority, Herrera said: “That does not come out of my mouth.

“I don’t know, but football was not the most important thing in Manchester. I do not want to compare, all I know is that here, I feel like I’m breathing football on all sides. And I like it.”

BBNaija: Tacha gives her fans a new Motto

Popular internet sensation, Natacha Akide aka Port Harcourt First daughter has given her Titans a new gang slogan.

The reality star, while hailing her Titans in a video, screamed ‘body odour gang’ and they responded in affirmation.

The level of love which the Titans have for their Trident Queen, despite the controversies surrounding her has made people wonder if Tacha isn’t using some sort of Jazz on them.

If you can recall, some days back, Kemi Olunloyo had called out the Titans crest, tagging it the devil’s symbol. She also advised the Titans to move to Mercy’s side.

One would have thought that the Titans would begin to have a rethink after hearing such statement from an investigative journalist.

Rather than switch to Mercy’s side as expected, the Titans stormed Kemi’s Twitter handle to blast her for making derogatory comments about their queen. They also slammed her for making comments on every issue just to trend on social media.

Cristiano Ronaldo celebrate his 99th Portuguese goal in a 2-0 over Luxembourg

Cristiano Ronaldo scored his 99th international goal in Portugal’s 2-0 win over Luxembourg in their final Euro 2020 qualifier.

The 34-year-old tapped-in a goal-bound ball in the 86th minute to hand the Selection a chance to defend the title they won three years ago in France.

This means that the former Real Madrid forward will wait for another time to reach a century of international goals in his career.

Ronaldo is hoping to equal, or even surpass the feat achieved by Iranian legend Ali Daei, who scored 109 international goals in just 149 games.

The forward made his international debut for Portugal against Kazakhstan in August 2003, just one week after completing joining Manchester United.

One year later, he recorded his first international goal at Euro 2004 against Greece, who went ahead to win the title in the group stage of the tournament.

In 2016, the five-time Ballon d’Or winner helped his country to win the European title having being made the team’s captain in 2008.

The prolific striker also helped his national team clinched the maiden edition of the UEFA Nations League last year.

He moved close to a century of goals earlier this month after netting another hat-trick against Lithuania on Thursday night.
